A to Z: H

Heck No.

Unfortunately, my team did not win the Championship last night. It is amazing they even got there. Michigan was expected to lose to Kansas, but managed to get all the way through to the final game.

It was a good game for both teams. I can't even pretend to understand strategy, or tell you what the guys not trying to make shots do, but I love to watch sports and have a team to cheer on. I wasn't always a 'fan' of sports. It's more fun than I thought it would be. Even having my chosen team lose this time didn't really take the fun out of it.

Do you like sports? Have a team? Stay up to midnight just to watch the important games of a tournament? Craziness, all of it. But I don't think anyone ever doubted the crazy bit of it.

  1. Hello, Carrie! I'm sorry your favorite team didn't win :( I always stay up through the Olympics coverage, summer and winter. I wish they were on every year! Gymnastics is my favorite sport, but sadly it gets little television coverage in the U.S., except during the Olympics.

    1. I absolutely love the Olympics as well. Gymnastics is a favorite as my sister was a competitive gymnast as a kid. I always get emotional and feel so proud of all those athletes for the crazy work they put in.

  2. Hey carrie, what championship was that? I'm new to the US and struggling to keep up with all the different teams. I used to like watching England football team, mainly for David beckham! I enjoy watching ice hockey too.

    1. It was NCAA, which is how they say college basketball for some reason. We're big on football as well - my husband is Danish and lived in London for many years. Of course, David plays for LA Galaxy now, so you may have to learn to say soccer. ;)

    2. Hi carrie. I think he left la galaxy, just as we moved here! Would have liked to had the time to check out a game, oh well. I'm trying to learn the lingo (sidewalk, awesome, jerk is about as far as I have got ha ha)

    1. Thank you, Valerie. I'm a new sport enthusiast, so it doesn't bother me too much - except the staying up past midnight part. I could do with less of that. :P

    1. It was a good game, and I was happy for the opposing team, too. Anyone who wins a championship worked hard to get there, and definitely deserves it.
