There are three major forces in my life. My family, my writing, and my dogs (though the dogs come in a somewhat distant third). I share my two sons with you through Toddler Tales and Growing Pains. I try to get my family in with Family Fun and Field Trips, but honestly, it usually just becomes about the boys. The dogs sometimes get in there, through photos or part of a story. When we breed this year, they may end up taking a much larger roll and even get their own series tags. :)
It's much easier for me to tell you about other people than myself, so those post series are relatively easy. It's the photos I try to get to go with them that are a pain. I usually end up trying to re-create the event and get a semi-decent photo, but sometimes I'm lucky enough to get the photo for inspiration first.
Telling about others is also why I like to write. And in fiction, I even get to slip in pieces of myself without shouting to the world, "Hey, here I am!" On the blog, my writing is generally brought forth either through the Collaboration Challenge that runs over a few weeks, or the Snapshot Prompt, which runs weekly.
See? I even managed to tell you about myself through things, rather than directly. But that's kind of what it's all about for me - the stories that are created even while they take you there.
I'm pretty good with photos. I have a quick finger and can capture expressions and motion well. Thanks for sharing with us. And thanks for participating in the Re-Introduce Myself Blogfest!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great talent to have. And this was a great blogfest, thanks for hosting. :)
DeleteI like sharing through photos. Sometimes they tell a lot more than our words can.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly can. :) Particularly since one word can mean so many things, but a certain look says so much more. :) Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteHey, Carrie!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you're a busy lady! And your boys/dogs are lucky to have a mom, who involves them in everything. It's great to meet you. I look forward to reading more of your posts. :)
Busier than I would like, sometimes, but it's mostly fun. :) Thanks for stopping by, it's always great to meet new people.
DeleteBoys and dogs go together. I'm sure they have lots of fun and adventure together.
ReplyDeleteThey do love each other. My oldest was known to chew on their ears during teething and my youngest likes to crawl all over them, laughing the whole time. Thanks for the comment. :)
DeleteI'm not crazy talking about ME either, so completely understand.
ReplyDeleteYes, you ARE a bit of a mystery, Mr. Cavanaugh!
DeleteHey Carrie! Hope you're having lots of fun in this happy blogfest! Sounds like you have your work at home cut out for you... puppies and kids and hubby and writing, oh my!
Haha, Alex. :) I'll have to see how yours goes now. I'm admittedly behind in this blogfest so far ...
DeleteThank you, Cathy. I am having fun with the full house and the blogfest. There truly isn't enough time for everything, but I enjoy what I do get to. :)
The dog is a huge force in my life, too! Nice to meet you!
ReplyDeleteMy dogs have been through so much with me. I'm not sure sometimes how I would have made it without them! Thanks for the comment. :)
DeleteNice to meet you via the blogfest.
ReplyDeleteI'm also reluctant to talk about myself. I avoid it wherever possible...
Hi, Carrie,
ReplyDeleteGood to meet you. I like the fact that you wove your tale delicately without booming about yourself. There are too many of us like that in the blogosphere. LOL. But all kidding aside this blogfest was wonderful and meeting new friends is an amazing thing.
You life sounds full, with children and pups... that's what it's all about. Life is our best inspiration for our writing. I pull from mine and ALWAYS filter it into my stories...
